Kuchisake (a.k.a. The Slit-Mouthed Woman) is a 2005 Japanese pink|horror film directed by Takaaki Hashiguchi, and starring Minami Aoyama, Mayu Asada, and Lemon Hanazawa. This film is not to be confused with the 2007 Kuchisake-Onna (a.k.a. Carved).
The film tells about an abandoned hospital where a room is said to be haunted by the slit-mouthed woman, known in Japan as Kuchisake-Onna. Since the place looks deserted, many people dare to enter and have sex in the very room. Every time, there have been deadly results, until a reporter decides to investigate the story and finds about a girl named Hitomi. It appears that the origin of the myth has a lot to do with the girl and in turn, the reporter soon discovers that the legend has found her as well.
