Nang Nak is a 1999 Thai drama|horror film directed by Nonzee Nimibutr, and starring Intira Jaroenpura, Winai Kraibutr, and Manit Meekaewjaroen.
In a remote Thailand village, Mak, a young family man, is sent to war and leaves his pregnant wife, Nak, behind. During the war, Mak is badly injured and barely survives thanks to the help of some local monks. When he finally returns home to his wife and child, mysterious events seem to be occurring everywhere around the village. Right after one of his friends approaches Mak to tell him that something happened to his wife during childbirth, everybody who attempts to talk to him thereafter is killed. Soon, Mak will realize the truth about his wife and he will be the only one who can stop the evil forces around him and his family.
