Haunted Universities is a 2009 Thai horror film directed by
Bunjong Sinthanamongkolkul and
Sutthiporn Tubtim, and starring
Atis Amornwetch,
Pantila Fuglin,
Panward Hemmanee, and
Prinya Ngamwongwarn.
The film is an anthology of horror stories set around university campuses or that supposedly happened to university students in different contexts. In the main story, Muay, a college student, decides to work as a volunteer for a forensic foundation based in Bangkok. Her job consists in dealing with corpses throughout the night. As her first night goes one, she finds herself involved in some scary urban legends.
*In the first story, four people entered a university at night and discover that one of the girls' bathroom located on the fifth floor has a shrine. One of them tells that it has always been possessed by the ghost of a student who committed suicide on that bathroom before. Now, the four of them have to somehow manage to get out of there alive.
*In the second story, a strange red elevator inside a university seems to be haunting Noknoi, one of the students. Whenever she uses the elevator, she becomes overwhelmed by strange visions of blood and ghosts. However, as the story goes on, she discovers that her mission is to end with the haunting and give peace to the spirits within it.
*The third story tells about, a medical student named Prasert who must learn how to deal with dead corpses as part of his medicine studies. For such endeavor, he has to stay inside a morgue day and night. To make things even worse, his friend Jok accompany him but with the cruel intention of constantly playing pranks on him.
*Finally, in the fourth story, Saa meets a stranger guy using her webcam chat. As they maintain a seemingly playful conversation, the guy feels insulted and threatens to murder her. Later on, while eating outside, Saa meets up with the guy in real life, and at first, he appears to be friendly even saving her from some weird bikers. After the man offers to take her home, every thing becomes very strange and it seems that Saa's life is in constant jeopardy.
