TRAIN TO BUSAN

Train to Busan (부산행:Busanhaeng) is a 2016 South Korean zombie film. It was directed by Sang-ho Yeon, and stars Yoo Gong, Yu-mi Jung, Su-an Kim, Dong-seok Ma, Woo-sik Choi, Sohee, and Eui-sung Kim.

The film is the first South Korean live-action zombie film, and it follows Seok-woo (Sang-ho Yeon) as he struggles to keep himself and his young daughter alive on a train while trying to reach his ex-wife from Seoul to Busan. The film mostly takes place on a train the train to Busan as a zombie apocalypse suddenly breaks out in South Korea and threatens the safety of the passengers. While on the train, Seok-woo meets other survivors with whom he teams up to try and make it out alive.

Right after his fiance is killed by a serial killer, Secret NIS agent Soo-hyun decides to take revenge and starts looking for the assassin. As Soo-hyun tells his father-in-law about his plans, the old man, a retired chief police officer, provides him with the pictures and profiles of the four main suspects. Some time after, Soo-hyun finds the first guy and after beating him pretty badly, he decides to turn it to the police. However, the second guy, Kyung-chul, turns up to be the killer so Soo-hyun decides to "play" a little with him and after a very violent beat-up he tells him that his vengeance is just starting.

EPITAPH

Epitaph is a 2007 South Korean drama/thriller film directed by Jung Sik and Jung Beom-sik; and starring Jin Goo, Kim Eung-soo, Ko Joo-yeon, Kim Bo-kyeong, Lee Dong-gyoo, and Kim Tae-woo.

The film is primarily set in 1942 during the Japanese colonial time of South Korea, but it is framed by scenes set in 1979.
In a hospital back in 1941 doctors witness how death becomes the cleanser and sole healer during a very disturbing period of time. In 1979, Dr. Park receives an old photo album from his twenties in 1941 when mysterious things befell him and his colleagues. PARK was bound by his parents to marry a girl whom he never met, but fell in love with a dead woman who happened to be his arranged marriage. Meanwhile, a little girl who was apparently the only survivor a car accident was haunted by ghosts every night. Midnight FM is a 2010 South Korean thriller directed by Sang Man Kim, and starring Kim Min-Kyu, Su-Ae and Ji-tae Yu.

Ko Sun-young, a very popular announcer and midnight DJ, decides to quit her job and leave to the USA. her plans include taking her ill daughter, Eun-soo, for a surgery. She begins her last day of work with the promise that it is going to be memorable, soe her sister has to babysits her nieces at Ko Sun-young's apartment. Right after she is on the air, Sun-young receives a call from Han Dong-soo who claims to be her fan. He informs her that he has just kidnapped her entire family and if she doesn't play the songs on his list or attempts to call the police, he will kill her family.

THE HAUNTED HOUSE PROJECT

The Haunted House Project (a.k.a. Deserted House) is a 2010 South Korean horror film directed by Lee Cheol-Ha, and starring Lee Hwa-Jung, Jun In-Kul and Shin Kyung-Sun.

During the last few years, six people have disappear, eight people have accidentally died, and eleven cases of murder have occurred inside a supposedly haunted house somewhere in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The house, which is now abandoned and banned to all people who might want to enter, has gained the attention of a group of young adventure seekers. Three members of a club devoted to the exploration of abandoned houses, and three members of the staff of a broadcasting company, decide to go into the deserted house to uncover the truth. But soon after, everyone of them disappears without trace, leaving behind only a video.

DISBELIEF HELL

Disbelief Hell (a.k.a. Possessed; a.k.a. Living Death) is a South Korean thriller|drama film directed by Yong-Joo Lee, and starring Shim Eun-kyung, Young-nam Jang and Bo-yeon Kim.

Right after 13-year-old So-Jin disappears, her older sister Hee-Jin receives a call from her mom asking her to return to the apartment. As soon as she arrives, she is received by their religious mother who seems to be acting a little strange. Soon after, Hee-jin meets with Tae-Hwan, a cop, who reluctantly has to take the case of the girl's disappearance. At first he thinks it's not a serious case, but when he is confronted with more and more suicides that seem difficult to explain rationally, he becomes completely involved in the occurrences. At the end, everybody seems to have a strong connection with the So-jin's disappearance and it appears that each of the witnesses holds a piece of this weird puzzle.

DEATH BELL 2

Death Bell 2 is a 2010 South Korean horror film directed by Seon-dong Yu, and starring Jeong-eum Hwang, Su-ro Kim and Hyeon-sang Kwon. The film is a sequel, although in name only, to the 2008 film Death Bell.

Two years after a student is found dead by the swimming pool, her step-sister is still haunted by nightmares and terrible visions. During summer some elite students are selected to participate in a program inside the school to take college-like courses. But the first night, the swimming trainer is murdered in the showers and a mysterious voice warns the students that they will all be killed. The only condition to survive is if they can answer who the murderer is and his/her motives.

PARADISE VILLA

Paradise Villa is a 2001 South Korean drama|horror film directed by Chong-won Park, and starring Han-jun Jo, You-Mi Ha, and Seung-chae Lee.

The film focuses on a day in the lives of the inhabitants of an apartment building in suburban Seoul. During this day, people are gathered in their homes to watch the soccer match between South Korea and Japan. However, while everybody is enjoying the game, an online gamer who seems to have just lost his mind is in the premises in quest for a powerful weapon he needs to finish his game. Somehow the lines between the virtual and real world are gone, and the man thinks the weapon is located somewhere within Paradise Villa, and is owned by a man nicknamed "Viagra". The crazy gamer begins to kill what his mind is recognizing as his enemies, innocent apartment tenants who are violently murdered one by one.

YOGA


Yoga is a 2009 South Korean horror film directed by Jae-yeon Yun, and starring Yoo Jin, Cha Su-yeo, and Jo Eun-ji.

One day, after meeting an old friend, Hyo-jung, decides to go to a strange Yoga academy to get some help with her appearance. Upon arriving at the institute, she is welcomed by a mysterious woman who tells Hyo-jung about certain rules to follow during the week-long intensive training. The rules are: 1. Don't eat, 2. Don't take showers within an hour after the class, 3. Don't look at the mirror, 4. Don't speak of the program outside the building, 5. Don't call anyone. As the training progresses some girls decide to break some rules, and one by one they start to disappear. At the end only one of them will be able to make it to the last day and thus reach Kundalini and discover the real beauty.

HAEUNDAE


Tidal Wave (a.k.a. Haeundae) is a 2009 South Korean thriller|disaster movie written and directed by Je-gyun Yun, and starring Kyung-gu Sol, Ji-won Ha, Joong-Hoon Park, and Jeong-hwa Eom.

The film revolves around the inhabitants of a very crowded and populated South Korean area named Haeundae. Right after the 2004 South Asian Tsunami, a lot of phenomena kept happening beneath the ocean surface around South Korea and Japan. Scientist discover that a portion of a nearest island is about to collapse and as a result there will be a "Mega-Tsunami" that could easily wipe out the whole area around Haeundae. Despite the scientist prediction, the beach is not evacuated until the last minute which causes a terrible disaster that will have everybody running for their lives.

UNBORN BUT FORGOTTEN


Unborn But Forgotten is a 2002 South Korean suspense film directed by Chang-jae Lim, and starring Jun-ho Jeong, Eun-ju Lee, and Ji-yu Kim.

After a lot of pregnant women start to die mysteriously, TV hostess Han Su-jin along with detective Choi decide to investigate what lies behind the deaths. It seems that there is a certain relationship between the dead women and a certain web page about a now nonexistent hospital. However, when Su-jin discovers that she is also pregnant, she accidentally access the page and finds out that every woman that has logged into it has died fifteen days later. It is then up to her and detective Choi to find out what is going on before it is too late for Su-jin.

THE BUTCHER


The Butcher is a 2007 South Korean gore/horror film directed by Kim Jin-Won, and starring Kim Sung-Il, and You Dong-Hun.

The film tells about a group of bloody perverts who after kidnapping six people, proceed to rape-murder them all. The trio of "butchers" set cameras in the top of their victims heads to have different angles of their actions. They pretend to put all the filmed parts together and sell their snuff movie in the American market. The film then is shot entirely from the point of view of handy-cams, some set on the helpless victims and one more for the perpetrators.

INTO THE MIRROR


Into The Mirror is a 2003 South Korean thriller written and directed by Sung-ho Kim, and starring Ji-tae Yu, Myeong-min Kim, Hye-na Kim, and Ju-bong Gi.

Woo Yeong-min, a former police man is forced quit his job after an accident that caused the death of his partner. He then decides to work for his uncle as head security of a huge mall. However, the mall has been closed for some time after a fire that killed some of the employees. Before the reopening, a series of deaths have been happening inside the building what makes Woo Yeong-min investigate. But besides solving the mystery, he also has to face his own fears.

Sorum is a 2001 South Korean drama/suspense film directed by Jong-chan Yun, and starring Jin-Young Jang, and Myeong-min Kim.

A taxi driver moves into a creepy old apartment complex that seems just adequate for his simple life. Later on, he discovers that his apartment was previously inhabited by a man who burned to death in his room. However, the fact doesn't seem to bother the young taxi driver. After he meets the woman that lives across the hall from him and who endures daily beatings from her husband, things become less monotonous for him. Both of them know about the brutal murder that occurred about 30 years ago within the walls of this building and mysteriously is touching on all their lives.

RED SHOES


Red Shoes is a 2005 South Korean horror film written and directed by Yong-gyun Kim, and starring Hye-su Kim, Seong-su Kim, and Yeon-ah Park.

A mysterious pair of pink high heel shoes found on a subway platform appears to bring a curse on whomever owns it. Those who spot them must keep them for good, but a horrible end awaits those who forcibly take them. A woman, who has just left her husband as she found him cheating on her, finds the shoes in the subway. Right after she takes the shoes home, ghostly apparitions and strange occurrences follow her as she tries to make a go of it with her young daughter. As things become even more creepier, she decides to rely on her new decorator to help her solve the mystery and put the ghosts to rest.

Teenage Hooker Became Killing Machine In Daehakroh is a 2000 South Korean sci-fi/thriller film directed by Gee-woong Nam and starring So-yun Lee, and Dae-tong Kim.

The film tells about a young high school girl who works in the streets at night. She is a hooker and her way to do things is to have her costumers chase her and ultimately have sex with her. One day she is spot by one of her teachers to whom she offers to give him her highest price service in change of his silence. Right after her meeting with the teacher, the girl is kidnapped by three guys in nurse gowns who kill her and mutilate her. But that is not the end, as the girl is finally brought back to life as a bloody cyborg-like assassin.

RED EYE


Red Eye is a 2005 South Korean horror movie directed by Dong-bin Kim, and starring Shin-yeong Jang, Ji-min Kwak, Dong-kyu Lee, Hye-na Kim, and Eol Lee.

The midnight train seems to have a whole bunch of secrets that none of its passengers appear to be aware of. As a new stewardess joins the crew for the night shift, she soon realizes there are some creepy things going on. Soon, the passengers begin to die and the crew seem clueless about what is happening inside the train. Later on, it seems that the current events have some sort of connection to the crash of the same train that occurred some years ago. The now spooky train is taking everybody on a collision course and it is up to the remaining members of the crew, including Oh Mi-sun, the new stewardess, to stop it.

The Record (a.k.a. Rec) is a 2000 South Korean horror/slasher film directed by Gi-hun Kim and Jong-seok Kim, and starring Seong-min Kang, Eun-hye Park, Jae-hwan Ahn, Min Jung, and Dal Bae.

The film tells about a group of students who tired of the attitude of one of their classmates, decide to play a prank on him. To perform their plans, the teenagers decide to invite their classmate to a country house to stay there with two of the girls. However, everything goes wrong and the kid end up dead. Confused and scared because of what they have just done, the group of friends decide to burn and bury the corpse. One year later, the group has already overcome the events and all of them continue with their normal lives until one day one of them is missing and their real nightmare begins.

CITY HORROR SERIES: THE EVIL SPIRIT


City Horror Series: The Evil Spirit is the last episode in the 2002 South Korean horror TV series City Horror; directed by Chung Heung-soon, and starring Byun Jung-soo, Chung Jae-kon, Kim Jung-nan, and Shim Hyung-tak.

Young TV hostess Cha is working on a new documentary so she decides to go shoot at her hometown. As soon as she arrives, she discovers that lots of her friends were married, but their wives and husbands died right after their marriage. Also, being back makes her think of Yan, a young girl, who was treated badly by Chan's friends when they were young. Yan was killed by a fire caused by Cha's friends; even though Cha tried to prevent this to happen, it was too late. Now, twenty years later it seems that Yan is back to take revenge on her wrongdoers.

CITY HORROR SERIES: THE SONG OF THE DEAD


City Horror Series: The Song Of The Dead is the third episode in the 2002 South Korean horror TV series City Horror. The film was produced by Lee Gyu-huan and starring Seo Tai-hua, Kim Ga-yun, Ha Li-soo, and Kim Hyun-jin.

In the year 553 A.D. while leading her army against Sun Law, General Bai Lan was captured and buried alive by the enemy. Two thousand years later, singer We Lai and her producer Wing Man, decide to rent a studio which hasn't been used in a long time. What the couple ignore is that the studio was built on the same place Bai Lan was buried.
