Forbidden Siren (a.k.a. Sairen) is a 2006 Japanese horror film directed by Yukihiko Tsutsumi and starring Yui Ichikawa. This is a movie adaptation of the videogame series Siren, and it is loosely based on the sequel of the original game Forbidden Siren 2.
As Yuki moves to her new home in a remote Japanese island, she is approached by the neighbors who warn her not to go outside when the island's siren starts wailing. Even though it doesn't sound like something really serious, a lot of weird things begin to happen around Yuki and her family, and everything seems to be connected to the sound of the local siren. Later on, Yuki discovers the secret behind the siren and the islanders' weird behavior and she will have to save her family and herself before is too late.
