Forest Of Death is a 2007 Hong Kong thriller directed and co-written by Danny Pang, and starring Qi Shu, Ekin Cheng, Rain Li, and Siu-Ming Lau.
While trying to solve a rape/murder case, detective C.C. Ha is lead out to a forest where young girls have been found dead, including the one case she is investigating. Soon after arriving in the forest, she realizes there's something mysterious going on and there is something more than plants and trees out there in this forest. As she continues her investigation, she gets in touch with a scientist who has done some research and written a thesis on plants being sentient creatures. As both of them join forces to solve the mystery, new cases of dead girls appear and it seems that only the forest itself knows the reasons. It becomes apparent then that there is something even more absurd lurking in the deep forest and it is beyond detective Ha's skills to find out the answer.
