The Maid is a 2005 Singaporean horror film written and directed by Kelvin Tong, and starring Alessandra de Rossi, Benny Soh, and Nur Awal'liyah Ja'afar.
When Rosa arrives in Singapore from the Philippines, she doesn't know it isn't the right time for her to be in a new culture. Rosa, unluckily arrives on the Seventh Month of the Chinese calendar, and it is said that during this month, the gates of hell are opened and all evil spirits are let loose; for 30 days the dead can walk among the living. As young Rosa start to settle in her new home, she starts listening to terrifying ghost tales from the locals regarding the Seventh Month, although at the beginning she is skeptic, she starts to realize that the stories have a certain grade of reality and she is about to experience pure terror during 30 days.
