GHOST OF MAE NAK

Ghost Of Mae Nak is a 2005 Thai horror film written and directed by Mark Duffield. The movie stars Pataratida Pacharawirapong, Siwat Chotchaicharin and Porntip Papanai as Mae Nak.

Mak and Nak, a young couple, buy an old house where they expect to live as soon as they get married. Also, as a wedding gift, Mak, acquires an old brooch for his future wife.
Before and after getting married, Mak has a recurrent nightmare about a disfigured woman who later is revealed to be the ghost of Mae Nak, a woman that died a hundred years before, that is haunting him for some reason. It seems that both their house, and the brooch have a certain connection with Mae Nak Phrakhanong, a figure of horror and despair from one of Thailand's most famous and enduring ghost legends.

Set in the modern Thailand, The Ghost Of Mae Nak, is a new twist on a legendary ghost story, that shows how true love goes beyond death.
