NIGHTMARE

Gawi (a.k.a. Nightmare) is a 2000 South Korean horror film directed by Ahn Byeong-ki, who also directed Phone (2002), Bunshinsaba (2004), and APT (2006). The film stars Kim Gyu-ri, Ha Ji-won and Choi Jeong-yoon.

When Seon-ae (Choi Jeong-yoon) comes back from the USA, she stops by to meet Hye-jin (Kim Gyu-ri), one of her old college friends. Soon after, she becomes convinced that someone is following her; what is more, it seems that the person following her is someone she once knew back in college and who died not long ago. While Seon-ae is still trying to find out who the mysterious figure following her is, some other of her old classmates are falling prey of the ghost of Kyung-ha (Ha Ji-won), a weird girl that joined Seon-ae group of friends and mysteriously committed suicide. Later on, in a flashback it is revealed the real cause of Kyung-ha's dead and how all Seon-ae's friends are related to it.
