Yeogo Goedam III (a.k.a. Wishing Stairs) is a 2003 South Korean horror movie directed by Yun Jae-yeon. As with the previous installment, the movies present no resemblance or relation whatsoever with the first film Whispering Corridors.
It is said that if you count the stairs heading to the dorms one by one up to twenty-eight, a new step appears and you will be granted a wish.
The film takes place in an all-girl school where two friends are competing to gain an only placement to go to a dance school in Russia.
Feeling disappointed for not getting the right attention, one of the girls, Jin-sung, betrays her friend So-hee who after a fight becomes crippled and finally decides to commit suicide after her friends confesses no to stand her anymore.
When Soo-hee's spirit is wished to be back, a lot of creepy things start happening around the school, and the girls will learn the hard way that wishing upon the stair has its consequences.
