ONE MISSED CALL
Chakushin Ari (a.k.a. One Missed Call) is a 2004 Japanese horror film directed by Takashi Miike and starring Kou Shibasaki as Yumi, and Shinichi Tsutsumi as Hiroshi.
While eating at a Japanese restaurant with her friends, Yoko Murasaki's cell-phone suddenly rings in an unusual tone. As she does not recognize the tone, she decides not to pick up and the call goes into voice mail. Later, she realizes that the missed call was from her own cell-phone number and it is dated two days into the future. As Yoko and her friend Yumi listen to the message, they discover it is the voice of Yoko in a seemly casual chit-chat followed by a creepy scream, and then by a total silence.
After the death of some of her friends, Yumi meets a man who has been tracking these unusual deaths looking for some answers. He later explains that his motivation to try and solve this mystery came after his own sister seemed to have suffered a similar fate. Both Yumi and Hiroshi decide to investigate the mysterious events, which leads them to several twists and turns, and to more gruesome events; what they later find proves to be an overwhelming and evil force intent on destroying all it encounters.
