THREE...EXTREMES


Three...Extremes is a 2004 Asian horror movie. It is a sequel in name and in concept to the 2002 film Three.
The movie consists of three segments directed by three different directors and in three different languages in the following order:
Box, Japanese segment directed by Takashi Miike.
Dumplings, Hong Kong segment in Chinese language directed by Fruit Chan.
Cut, South Korean segment directed by Park Chan-wook.

BOX
It is about a woman who wakes up every morning after having a nightmare of herself being buried alive in a tiny box in the snow. The movie develops as she searches for her sister who disappeared when they where young. As the film goes on she realizes that her dreams and reality might be somehow connected.

DUMPLINGS

An old and retired actress finds a woman who sells some dumplings that are said to help you rejuvenate. As the plot progresses, the woman finds out what the dumplings are made of and the gruesome secret behind them.

CUT

After finishing a take for his upcoming film, a young director finds himself tied up in his own set. The director realizes he and his wife were kidnapped by one extra who forces him to perform his sadistic and twisted plot. The director agrees to follow the demands, since his wife, a professional piano player, is tied up like a marionette and the sadistic kidnapper will chop off her fingers if the director does not follow his directions.
